information. Writing a First Draft: expressing
your ideas in sentences and paragraphs. Evaluating: judging
the content, organization and the style of a draft. Revising: improving
the content, organization and style.
Proofreading:
checking the revised version to correct errors in grammar, usage and
mechanics (punctuation.) Writing the Final Version: preparing a final version and proofreading it. Fast
Reading
Skimming is used to get a
general idea of the content. You move your eyes quickly, look at titles,
heading and illustrations. You also read the first and the last sentence of
each paragraph. Scanning is used to find the
answer to a specific question. You don’t read every word, you look for key
words that are related to the information you need. Once you find the
information, you read more careful to get the correct answer. |
